Nové trendy v oblasti chování spotřebitele na trhu tabákových výrobků v ČR

The diploma thesis deals with the new trends in customer behaviour on the market with tobacco products and their alternatives – e-cigarettes, heat-not-burn tobacco and nicotine pouches. It offers a comprehensive view of the customer be-haviour on the market with classical tobacco products, primarily cigarettes. Based on this, research assumptions concerning alternatives were created. Quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey (n = 316) and qualitative method in the form of focus groups (n = 20) were used to fulfill the objective of the thesis. Based on the results, recommendations for tobacco companies were formulated.
Use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco among primary school pupils in the Central Bohemian Region: a questionaire study

Background: Use of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco is on the rise both in the world and Czech Republic. Aforementioned products are often presented as less harmfull alternatives to traditional cigarettes, but an addiction can occur to these products nevertheless. Such devices are furthermore very attractive for adolescent population, which is in high risk of developing an addiction. Objectives: The Main goal of the research is to describe user specifications and an attitude of fifteen-year-old students from the Central Bohemian Region to e-cigarettes and heated tobacco. The sub-goals consist of: describing the way target group use the devices (in terms of where and with whom), answering if the members of the target group owns their personal devices, and means of acquisition of such devices. Methods: The research was carried out through collecting quantitative data via online survey tool. The survey in physical form was also distributed between students of selected schools in Central Bohemian Region. 54 schools were approached with the survey in two waves. Schools for the first wave were pick randomly from a list of schools in the region and with fifteen-year- old students. Marketing communication of nicotine products in Czech environment

C1 - Internal use Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive insight of the impact of nicotine products on the Czech market. The theoretical part characterizes tobacco, nicotine and their effects on the human body, the history of tobacco use and its development. It presents a basic overview of current knowledge about nicotine addiction, motivation to use it and briefly introduces the basic preventive measures and state legislation concerning the operation of tobacco and nicotine companies on our market. Furthermore, specific examples of tobacco products from history and examples of anti-smoking campaigns from the Czech Republic and around the world are introduced. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes the influence of this communication on children and adolescents. The practical part is focused on the current advertising communication of selected brands and specifies nicotine products in more detail. This part of the work aims to map the current communication of HTP brands IQOS, gloand and e-cigarettes in the Czech Republic. Liquids and substances used in electronic delivery systems in the Czech Republic

Background: The prevalence of e-cigarette usage has been increasing. There are less adverse health effects on health in comparison to conventional cigarettes. However, the longitudinal effect on health is unknown. The risks include an emerging nicotine dependence or lung diseases. Aims: The study aims to map out the current situation of the patterns of use, motivation and preferences among Czech e-cigarette users. Methods: Data were collected online from December 2019 to March 2020 with an online questionnaire inquiry. The population comprised of e-cigarette users living in the Czech Republic. The sample composed of 143 non-random respondents (54 women, 89 men) of ages 18-69. Microsoft Excel was used for data analysis; methods of descriptive statistics were used. Results: Most e-cigarette users are current or ex-smokers. One third of the respondents have been using e-cigarette for 6 years or longer with the goal of smoking reduction (35.7%) or reducing the foul smell of conventional cigarettes - a reason mostly found in women (33.3% of women compared to 4.5% of men). One fourth of the respondents have never tried to stop smoking. The number of users who have never used conventional cigarettes is 4.2% men and 2.2% women.
